Yes, the ringing of cathedral bells is such an important aspect in all Russian music for it signifies life, and the passing thereof. And Alfor, I completely agree with you. I personally always felt that Rachmaninov's Op. 39-7 was perhaps the most compelling invocation of bells within a single piano work. It seems to encompass all things joyous, majestic and sad. Very much like the great composer himself.

this is from the volume: „Concert Pieces of Soviet composers Vol. IV“, published By Muzyka in 1974, which I recently aquired.
You obviously posted all pieces of this volume separately - could you explain why???
Best regards

I did it that way because my personal preference is to file pieces first by nationality and second by the composers' surnames. WIth several of the piano volumes I posted, I also purposely excluded already-available pieces by more well-known Soviet-era composers like Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Myaskovsky, and Shchedrin.
In a similar way, with recent scans such as Eiges' sonatas, I purposely worked around works that were already available from previous contributors or the website dedicated to Eiges' work.

I must say, caostotale, that is quite an interesting way to file your scores; I just go alphabetical by last name.

Here is a handful of Armenian piano volumes published in the 1960s. The Aristakesyan work is an stand-alone publication of a piece previously included in one of the volumes shared by Alfor (see viewtopic.php?f=46&t=554&p=4466&hilit=a ... ions#p4466 ). The work appears to be the same, though it's an alternate printing.
