I notice that a couple of works by him were posted before. I'm thinking particularly of his Études.

Posted as an example for the style of this composer, who is especially well known and appreciated in Bavaria, where he is called "Sau guet" (hoast mi?!):

This concerto has only appeared in LP, as i see. Vasso Devetzi - Piano / Gennady Rozhdestvensky.

Since Wiener died as late as 1982 please respect the PP copyright policy and ensure that any uploads are either out of copyright or else are difficult to find from any recognised source.

This is my new scan (should be my last contribution in 2010).
Wiener - 2nd Sonatine (opt).pdf
On the score, it reads that the copyright year is from 1928. So I think there should be no problem of posting here. This Sonatine is very much worth a reading for its elegance and jazzy lightness. However, I will still leave the decision to our administrators. Special thanks to Mr. Ernest So's (naturlaut in PP) private collection of scores. Please enjoy, and Merry X'mas in advance!!

Dear Koon,
Thank you and Mr. So for this incredibly rare score by Jean Wiener. It is indeed a very interesting classical/jazz cross-over, and a fine piece of music. I've collected Wiener's piano duet recordings with Clement Doucet for years now, and have been aware of his jazz influence for some time, but I've only recented discovered the classical pieces which he composed. Bravo for a great posting!
