Alfred, thanks so much for completing the posting of the these Etudes. This second part is no less interesting than the first. One can certainly derive as much benefit from working on these studies as can be desired. They are very agreeable to hear and pose interesting technical challenges. Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for posting the Ignaz Brull Op. 71 Second Suite! I like the works by this composer very much, and would agree with you that this is a masterpiece (better than the Sonata Op. 73 imho!) For fans of Brull, there is a CD of solo works by Alexandra Oehler, (including both Op. 71 and 73) which is quite good and available through Amazon.

Also thanks for your continued posting of the wonderful Sauer etudes, in such beautiful and easy to read scans. I wish all the music in my collection looked as good as this (including originals!) I tend to gravitate more to the sharply printed scores these days, on account of poor eyesight. Your scans definitely set the standard not only for musical quality but for optical quality as well!

Dear Alfred,

How very nice to have Sauer's little Staccato Etude in such a gorgeous hires scan. The composer does quite a bit with the dynamics in this piece, and I found somewhat challenging to observe them all. It's a piece that's a lot more than just playing all the notes correctly.

Maestro Godowsky gives us a superbly edited edition of Liadov's beautiful Barcarolle leaving no doubt about how he played it. In fact there is so many markings and fingerings that I somewhat prefer the original edition and will just take a peek at Godowsky now and then to see his ideas. It is really nice to have this option.
