Quite a bit of Armenian work from the 1970s/1980s (Zoghrabyan comes to mind) is considerably dodecaphonic-sounding.

I always seem to be very much attracted to the music of the Caucausus. Somehow I detect a kind of composite tonal scheme from this area which I like very much. Prelude No.4 stands out for me with the very interesting and highly pianistic right hand figurations. It is quite brilliant.

Another great find, relative. Thanks for posting!

Anyone with Otar Taktakishvili's Suite in Imitation of Georgian Instruments? This is one of several interlibrary loan requests I recently made that came back unfilled. Thanks.
