That was my scan, by the way ! Not a very good one, I admit.

Not one, but two composers...where I can not seem to trace any biographical information [suspect Italian]?

Antonio Biagi - La Bouquet Fantasie
Biagi A - La Bouquet Fantasie.pdf
Emilio Bianchi - Op 1 Variations
Bianchi E - Variations Op 1.pdf

Malcolm:

There is a reference about Emilio Bianchi, Argentinean, pianist who played with the bandoneonist Roque Biafore “Roquito”, circa 1919.

He was the pianisT for the Orquesta Típica Pastor on 1924, and he also played with Alberto Soifer (1907-1977).

Maybe Lito can give us some more details.

I do not think this is our Emilio Bianchi. The one we are looking for was apparently Italian and was already quite known and active in Italy around 1850.

Caproti:

Thank you, so I was confused, let’s keep searching. Anyway the Argentinean composer is also new to me.

But not the right one ! The one we want is Antonio Biagi and lived in the XIXth Century.

Oh yes, you are right. This Antonio Biagi was forgotten even by the best italian music dictionary. He apparently was a "local" composer in the area of Florence, since the few scores he published (all belonging to the genre of operatic fantasia or transcription of melodies by aother composers) were printed by Guidi in that town.
The Conservatory of florence has the following :

The fantasia you posted is extracted from an album containing works by many composers :

Biagi
12: Seconda rimembranza sull'Attila del maestro Verdi / E. N. Pontecchi
