Thank you, Emil. Very nice indeed. The Turkish Fragments sound vaguely familiar....somewhere I've heard those tunes before. And that March is certainly a nice bit of tongue-in-cheek.

I believe that there are some veiled works of obscure composer Sergei Protopopov.
I found the Link of the concert and they had performed some unpublished works .

Мария Ходина, скрипка
Даниил Екимовский, фортепиано
Прелюдия «Пейзаж», opus 32 N.1 (1936)
Даниил Екимовский, фортепиано
We can find the opus number '32', so I assume that there are more unknown pieces by this composer? (The last opus number that I could find was 'Op.25', 2 Lermontov Songs)
Thank you.
Emil
I was at that concert, if it was the one about 3/4 years ago! I had just played a concert in Rakhmaninovski zal. There are more pieces, all in ms in the Glinka Library.

re Kosenko piano works gaining more traction in recordings
I came across a pre order opportunity for Shkod'as volume three/next installment. As of yet unreleased, I cannot find it in current releases or 'in prep' status on Toccatta's website but my lead shows availability as soon as 11-15. Anyone able to confirm this? This would include the first complete recordings of the Op 8 etudes (which up till now we only had a selection mainly from Juliana Osinchuck's recital album and more recently a nod on promotional of Violina Petrychenko's channel, she just relased a couple very good Ukranian piano music albums, the videos are beautiful, recordings are top notch ie

I was coincidentally (unbeknownst to me at the time of selecting) a couple of the op 8 etudes so I'm curious as what she does with these. I hope to share my videos of these upon completion in hopefully mid/late 2016).
thanks for any help.

Scriabinoff - I've seen it listed on Amazon.com (US version) being available from 14th November (I have copy on order as very keen to hear the Op 8 etudes which I consider one of Kosenko' most beautiful works).
Great to see Centaur are continuing this series, that originally started with Toccata.

many thanks for the confirmation. I suspected as much but didn't want to get my hopes up if there was chatter of a delay in the release since for some reason I couldn't link to an official Centaur announcement.

Sabaneyev! I have copies already... played Sonata last night in Saarbrucken, tonight in Karlsruhe, with pieces by Obukhov, Lourie, Wyschnegradsky, Stravinsky, Prokofiev.

Always room for good Prokofief transcriptions. Thanks for posting, Mercuzio.

does anyone know of a good "study" edition of Rachmaninoff's 1st Piano Sonata, with fingering, etc.? Has anyone played this work and is willing to offer any tips, advice for difficult sections... ??
