Thanks you Malc.
Carl Evers, German composer, pianist and music-trader, born 1819 in Hamburg, died 1875 in Vienna, pupil of Karl Krebs in Hamburg and Mendelssohn in Leipzig. Composed ~ 150 pieces, mainly Lieder and piano works.
Surprised this thread has been neglected down to page 2....so something to test those digits for the weekend [and especially for Oren who I know loves etudes].
Alfredo Wyld (1883-1947). Guatemalan composer. As a child he studied the piano with Herculano Alvarado, Luis Felipe Arias and Miguel Espinosa. During his teens, he moved to San Francisco, California, where he completed his studies with the Spanish pianist Santiago Arrillaga. It was also there that he studied composition with Oscar Weil. In 1913 he traveled to Paris, where he settled and started to publish his first music scores of etudes dedicated to its friend Camille Saint-Saëns. In 1917 the composer was introduced to Fauré in Bordeaux, who then invited Wyld to join him in recitals. Wyld also had a successful career as a piano teacher. He also collaborated with Diaghilev's Ballet Russe - and a number of his orchestral works were first performed in music festivals across Europe.

Seconded! Just when I think I've seen all the possible etudes on 3rds & 6ths, along some new ones with interesting variations with the "Perpetuo Mobile" being a case in point.
Thanks for the 2nd Jongen etude, Malcolm. Yes, I agree with 4candles. Any work by this composer is very welcome. IMSLP also has a few pieces by Jongen.
Victor Staub (1872 - 1953). Can find very little information on this composer beyond that he taught Jose Iturbi, when Iturbi went to him at the age of 15. And he was also Professor of "superieurs de Piano" at the National Conservatoure de Musique de Paris.
Twenty Etudes Artistique [which for ease we've split into two files].

Thanks. I believe it may be helpful to know there are also pieces of him on imslp.
I believe I had already posted these Etudes artistiques on the former PiPhi forum or maybe on GFF, five years ago, but as usual, this version is much cleaner and appreciated. Victor Staub had been the pupil of Louis Diémer and won a Premier Prix de Piano at the Paris Conservatoire. I can add to those pieces on IMSLP these two little salon pieces that I already shared also years ago. If someone wants to clean them, they are welcome.
