To Frankfleubis:
(deserve a high-quality scan, imho)
Ferdinand HILLER
Gavotte, Sarabande, Courante op. 115
Hiller Gavotte, Sarabande, Courante op.115.pdf
Musical and technical of a very solid quality. Especially the Gavotte and Courante
could well replace dozens of boring etudes!

Look (and partly sound) very much like Bartok's early piano works.
Very thanks!

Dear alfor,
Thank you for the Emil Kronke Opus 153. It was kind of you to dedicate the download to me.
These are very interesting works.
I have also found, and bought the disc of the Lajtha work. Very interesting work, but a bit out of my reach.
Thank you again.
Peter.

Thank you, dear Alfor, for the delightful Hiller Op.115 Dances. One wonders why the composer did not add a few more movements, but it is really a fine collection. The Sarabande is really interesting with lots of effective figurations. The LAJTHA piece is gathering a bit of dust here as there is much fun to be had with these dances.
I am a great fan of etudes of all kinds if the harmonic universe is to my liking, but one could consider these pieces as such without construing it a downgrade to the composer intent. I always feel like playing etudes especially after listening to Hamelin play anything.

Heinrich von HERZOGENBERG
Fünf Clavierstücke op. 25 (complete; imslp has only No. 1)
Herzogenberg 5 Clavierstücke op.25.pdf
Very well written pieces. Some Brahms influence (imho nearly always a sign of quality!).
