The Kletzki Fantasie is quite a piece and as you indicate Alfor, very much in the Brahms/Reger mold. Kletzki is known to me as a Mahler conductor, but am so surprised that he would come up with such an interesting improvisatory Fantasie!

Happily, Naxos has recorded this piece, and a few other "must have" Kletzki pieces:

Posted as an example of the piano style of this russian-french composer:

Marcelle de MANZIARLY
Six Ètudes
Manziarly 6 Études.pdf
Well-composed studies of medium difficulty. Typical french post-Les Six style.

Alternative scan (sorry, did not check imslp):

Rudolf BRAUN (Blind austrian composer, 1869-1925. Pupil of Labor.)
Drei Klavierstücke für die linke Hand
Braun 3 Klavierstücke l.h..pdf
Charming, effective, late-romantic style.

Thank you Alfor for today's interesting posts.

I quite like the Manziarly etudes, especially No.5, the nocturne. I find the whole set very worthwhile.

The Braun pieces are likely commissioned by the famous left-handed pianists Paual WIttgenstein as he is the dedicatee. These pieces are a real joy to play and I expect to play these often as they are so pianistic.

Lovely, Alfor--the new Kronke is a worthy companion to the Op.147 Suite.

Posted as an example of the piano works of this hungarian composer:

Laszlo LAJTHA (Composer and ethnologist, 1892-1963.)
Des écrits d'un musicien
9 fantasies pour le piano (1913)
Lajtha 9 Fantasies op.1.pdf
Look (and partly sound) very much like Bartok's early piano works.
