I couldn't find a bio for this composer, but we've seen a small variety of his piano works here.

Here's the second quartet by a fairly prolific female Soviet composer who studied under V. Shebalin (a solid quartet composer to whom this work is dedicated). Her bio can be seen at:

I apologize if I've been dominating this and other threads with music from the same regions, but there's quite simply (a.) a lot of it and (b.) very little chance that it will turn up otherwise. As for this composer, I've not been able to find a biography. Aside from this work, I've seen a few other chamber pieces and some pedagogical works for piano.

Here's the first quartet by Nikolai Gorlov, a composer whose work crossed between folk and classical. The footnote on the first page states that 'In the quartet, the composer used three Russian folk songs of the Krasnoyarsk region that he recorded during a folklore expedition in 1956'. Though this is specified as his first quartet, I've not seen mention of any others. Alongside this, he's composed a large number of piano works, including a handful of sonatas, sonatinas, and a set of 24 preludes.
