Ah, the joy of playing through a genuine Alfor HIRES scan--such a difference compared to the Andrico Op.12 (still happy to get this, nonetheless!). This new Foerster is a welcome addition as I like his other pieces very much also.

Dear fleubis,

you are welcome!
For many years Foerster was one of the most intimate friends of Mahler.
But this obviously did not find expression in Foerster's works.
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

The Stanislav Sonata seems to be the only representation of this composer we have. He write in a nice straightforward style that is not terribly difficult. Alfred, in the last movement I do see some resemblance to the Sonatine of Ravel, but it sounds more like a polonaise to me. Ah! What a lovely HIRES scan!

Lovely, Alred.

Yes, this is our 3rd Kricka piece. Nice little sketches which will give students some pleasant salon pieces.
Thank you yet again, Alfred.

Four nice pieces by Kvapil of which the Intermezzo and aptly named Humoresque--this one being especially interesting. A new composer for us to enjoy.

Thank you Alfred.

Dear fleubis,

you are welcome! I am really glad that we have you

Alfred, you have the ability to separate the "wheat from the chaff" as it were and are a good filter. We get amazing material from your research which you share here. Many of us have a huge problem dealing with these large online libraries. Many are so large and many contain a lot of, well, junk, but the main problem is knowing what to look for in the first place!
