Alfor, great of you to post such a significant piece as Gunst's Sonata-Fantasie. After getting a feel for his piano writing from his miniatures from your previous postings, it very interesting to see how successful the composer is in handling larger forms and how his material is developed. I would say this piece is aptly titled.

Duze krolik, isokani.
He powerful plays the piani.
But Gunst sonatas are too easy,
He never will become so leazy...

Thanks Alfor, the Gunst 2nd is very impressive. It seems to all be about contrary motion between the hands. Very interesting. I just love it when the Agitato section comes in at the bottom of page 8 and the spreading out of the textures gets one all over the keyboard. Alas, those 10ths give me fits (as usual) but a very enjoyable piece.

Regarding the masses of individuals playing the piano, a number of 10.000 people should be interested in such rare material - but as you can see pianophilia has a mere 500+ members! And an estimated number of
3 to 5 people are actually playing my scans!
