Thank you for Ketterer, always welcome, and this new name to me : Adolphe Bouleau-Neldy was a serious organist at the Cathedral of Angers, probably originally from Bordeaux. As many others minor composers we have seen in this section, he had beside his austere official function at church time to write and publish light music pieces and maybe earn a little more money.liveforpiano wrote:I have been unable to find any information on this composer, but the piece I am putting here is rather fun to play.
Neldy A.B. Danse Italienne Opus 53.
Caprotti wrote:Apparently there are only two pieces by F.Hünten on airs from l'Elisir :
op.137 Deux Fantaisies
op.112 Petits fleurs de salon
I should listen to the recording in order to indentify which one ...
Yes, I had a suspicion that it was 113 No. 01, but I couldn't confirm it, thank you!Caprotti wrote:Yes 113 n.1 is a short set of var.on "Quanto è bella" (from L'elisir); 133 n.1 is another short set of var., but I cannot say if the theme comes from L'elisir
No, but if you are interested in something, I should be able to get it for you....Phillip210 wrote:You will shortly be able to download the excellent Valse Tourbillon by this French composer from http://imslp.org/wiki/Valse_Tourbillon, ...
