Colourful, in some parts quite improvisatory late-romantic style, though on solid tonal grounds. D. was called the "Hungarian Brahms", but in this work there are hardly any specifically Brahmsian pages.

Maybe these two versions are also of some interest; the 4hand one is due to the composer.

I prefer to think of him as an Austrian-born British composer,
just as I like to think of Handel, Clementi, and lots of other
composers as British, or more specifically, English, even though
they weren't necessarily born here. :-)
