Lucky boy - and just where is this wonderful emporium?

I have hard copies of all four works, and each, many years ago, cost me about the same as you paid for all of them. William Mathias taught one of my music teachers at school...
I brought them at the BookBarn In Hallatrow in the West country on the Wells Road (it's very disorganised). The Bookbarn used to have five warehouse stores but now it just has one for the public and sells some books online.
Currently all on shelf books are £1 each. It has quite alot of sheet music although not many rarities except possibly single sheets and songs. But they had a warehouse in Bristol that suddenly closed and the public were allowed to take any of the stock.
I brought the concertos because they were so cheap and I have downloaded so much good romantic music online that I thought I'd best do my bit and put some more music online. And I was concerned that the shop might suddenly close like the last ones and swallow them up.
I have brought alot of my sheet music from the basement of the Amnesty international bookshop in Bristol where I found Stradals Bach Brandenburg concerto 2. I scanned it and posted it on the last forum but have lost the original scan after my computer crashed. The Oxfam bookshops in Bristol are a good source also.
I have started buying music on the basis that it might be rare rather than personal taste because internet scans are a wonderful resource for sheet music addicts like me.
My main passions are baroque music and playing romantic piano

Thanks for details - too far and too expensive sadly for me to go.
Seems to me that you are entering into this in exactly the right spirit! Thank you!
I do hope you will request whatever it is that you have lost in any PC crash. I'm fairly sure we can restore what was lost!
Best...

And another much neglected English composer.......
Ernest Austin (1874-47) Brother to Frederick Austin. No formal musical education; he bagan to compose aged 33 after a business career, and hence his music reflects an experimental air.
There is a short article about him on Wikipedia. I have posted his 2nd sonata [thank you Mr P].

I don't have the Sterndale Bennett concertos, but do have Capriccios Op.11, Op.10 musical sketches, and two volumes of miscellaneous works, including the Barcarole from the 4th concerto. Any interest?

Anyone know when/where the York Bowen sonatas 1-3 may be available?

Yes, but please don't upload anything that is easily available on other sites like IMSLP (cf
http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Bennett, ... _Sterndale). Please check our policies on such things for more details. The two volumes of miscellaneous works have been floating around the net for the past few years, but you may upload those if you wish.
