Never encountered this piece elsewhere (but, alas, I do not posess the Editio Musica Budapest complete edition). A pre-1840 composition, I would guess. Exhibits materal later used in Hungarian Rhapsodies
Sh...I am not the profoundest Liszt expert, so I did not find it at imslp - it is not listed under
"Ro(u)manian Rhapsody".
But now I know that there are at least three web experts at pianophilia I can ask to avoid
double-postings!
Thank you!
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

I'm not that concerned about double postings from you since we know you do your own scans, and new, good quality scans are welcome here. Incidentally, I used Google to track the piece, which then led me to the IMSLP link.
I had to send another note of thanks.... These Michalowski pieces are the kind of stuff dreams are made of as far as the Romantic piano literature is concerned!!! Playing Michalowski feels (and occasionally sounds) very much like Bortkiewicz to me, which of course is a very good thing. Scriabin influence noted in the Op. 9 (as per Bortkiewicz, frequently) and hauntingly beautiful. The Op.32/2 Prelude is about as fine a gift that any Romantic enthusiast could ever hope for. Michalowski is a very, very exciting find as one of our new "unknown" composers! Many thanks again for discovering him and sharing these wonderful (and incredibly rare) scores with us. I enjoyed seeing the composer photo on Op. 9 very much also.
