There's some really interesting stuff in this collection--I'll have to scare up a fiddler. Thanks.caostotale wrote:One more volume with a lovely variety of Soviet works. Again, I'm not sure if the Golubev is Ivan or Igor:

The Bortkiewicz Violin Sonata has been mentioned several times on this site - copy duly available through MediaFire [unfortunately my copy of the score is very yellowed and hence had to scan using greyscale].

Anyone welcomed to reduce the file size if they can.

Thank you, FW190, for your work on the Bortkiewicz Violin Sonata, it is crystal clear and small in size and printed out beautifully. What a wonderful piece it is! Thanks Malc for resurrecting it.

Re: Music for Violin & Piano
I'm wondering if anyone has the score of Spohr's Duo Concertant in F Op96 of 1836,
which he entitled 'Échos d'un voyage à Dresde et en Suisse saxonne', and which is
normally translated and shortened to 'Reisesonate'.
This request is made more hope than expectation!

Re: Music for Violin & Piano
Fantastic! Many thanks Caprotti. ALL of Spohr's chamber music is superb imo!
It's a great shame that folk tend to judge him by his less impressive violin concerti,
symphonies, and two piano works, rather than by his string quartets, double string
quartets, etc.

Thank you Malcolm and FW190, for the score and cleanup! Having had the CD for a while, I've been looking for this score for quite some time! Thank you for the clean, Jim!
