Incidentally ...

For the purists among you, my apologies for not "correctly" incorporating diacritical marks in the file names; (e.g. umlauts, fadas, what-have-you-s) - I consider it too troublesome to do whatever is required each time to switch the keyboard or to press ALT-#? - it is no intended disrespect for the language's original script, merely laziness and convenience on my part.

As the internet and cell-texting have shown, brevity is desirable and (through repetition) well understood.

I wanted you to know that last night I composed a long, studious and probably overbearing "thank you" for all of your wonderful postings from this past week. After all of that, the blessed hotel internet connection I've been living with the past few weeks decided to do something (not sure what) but it erased everything. I can't possibly re-create that feedback, but you've preserved an important part of musical history for us here, and that is greatly appreciated, my friend.

I did want to bring attention to the Clement Wood poems set to music by Jacques Wolfe (and dedicated to Paul Robeson!) This 1928 Schirmer edition is immensely important, both musically and historically. It's also incredibly rare. And the Schlager...well who hasn't heard "Zwei Herzen im 3/4 Takt" at some point of their lives? Some names known and some others completely new. All rare and virtually non-existent in the US.

On the folios, the Robbins Earl Hines collection is superb and these arrangements capture Fatha's playing style. They were actually the work of a Robbins staff arranger (not Hines himself), but a musical chameleon capable of reproducing anything as played by anybody. I used to know his name (it might still come to me) but right now I can't pull it from the ether.

So thanks for all the hard work and dedication, and your supreme kindness for sharing with all of us.

Many thanks for your kind words and the additional info you provide.
I'm delighted that the postings are so well received and will continue to upload. (sporadically during the coming holidays) (There are many more to come!)

Regarding Stolz's "Ungekusst ..." I faintly remember seeing this among my collection and will search for it, though it is probably in a collection of "various composers" or maybe a folio - therefore it may take a while. (Maybe it is in the "Zum Funf Uhr Tanz numbers that I posted a while back).
