Wonderful, Alfred, to have all 4 of the ballades. As Kreutzer didn't do a "complete" Chopin edition, it's diffiicult to argue against most of his choices.

This genuine ALFOR hires scan of the Barcarole and Berceuse will find a lot of use here on my piano. Meticulously fingered and pedaled (problems solved!)--looks like I will be putting my other editions on the shelf as there appear to be a few additional insights I can glean from Kreutzer.

No matter how well we know Chopin (and I think all of us here know Chopin pretty well) it's always nice to gain find something new to try--great pianists do this on the fly during their live performances--but perhaps (much) lesser pianists (like me) might find inspiration in a quality edition--and in the case of these preludes, it is PEDALING for me, at least!

Now, Alfred, how is it that you know I happen to speak Japanese? Somehow, I think Mr. Kreutzer might not argue with your translation!

Nothing like a GENUINE hires Alfor scan! :D I thank you, and so do my EYES.

Japanese in honour of Mr. Kreutzer who surely was one of the first European pianists to spend a
major part of his life in Japan and marry a Japanese woman.

Nice to know a bit about Mr. Kreutzer. I also lived for several years in Japan. Another welcome addition to our Kreutzer editions. Thank you, Alfred.
