Re: Etudes
Malc, it should be Karl Wilhelm Greulich (1796-1837), a Berlin based composer.
Ars opus est hominis, non opus artis homo.

Re: Etudes
A slightly more "wordy" version of Czerny - etudes by Ettore Pozzoli (1873 - 1957):
Biography
Born in the Italian city of Seregno, Ettore Pozzoli began his career soon after he received his music diploma from the Milan Conservatory in 1895. While writing music for piano and orchestra, he started teaching at the Milan Conservatory. His works on theory and solfeggio, even now days considered the basis of the studies of any pianist, are known for the progressive difficulty, for harmony and counterpoint. His composition “Danza fantastica” was chosen in 1956 as the compulsory piece for competitors at the sixth World Accordion Contest in Danzica. Pozzoli died on the 9th of November 1957 in Seregno (Italy), where, since 1959, an international piano contest in his honour takes place organized by the City.

Re: Etudes
If I may correct you, the title of the first collection of studies you posted is Moto (italian word for motion), not Molto (which means very) rapido.naturlaut wrote:A slightly more "wordy" version of Czerny - etudes by Ettore Pozzoli (1873 - 1957):

Re: Etudes
The composer is alive and still composing as opposed to dead and decomposing! (*sorry*)selina521 wrote:Does anyone have Aaron Jay Kernis :Superstar Etude No. 1 for piano solo?
