The piece you uploaded here is actually from the Mississippi State University. They also have The Georgia Giggle as piece from him. Also, at the Indiana University you'll find his Sparkling Eyes.

Does anyone here has his Valse: Tangled Roses and would upload it on the Ragtime Thread? there exists unfortunately only an incomplete version of it at the Gonzaga University. Also, there is another rare piano solo Kansas City Pep which could be of interest for the collectors

Hello Adrien,

Will Livernash is quite a "name" in Ragtime indeed. Probably his very best piece was "Glad Cat Rag" which he composed as Will Nash; published by Pioneer Music Co. in Chicago about 1905 (or so). This piece has been in print for many years now, contained within one of Trebor Tichenor's great Dover Ragtime Folios (not sure of the title...probably "Ragtime Reminiscences"...it's the "green" folio, the first one published!) For all intents, "Glad Cat" is a true, and great classic piano rag.

Livernash composed a whole host of instrumental pieces and songs, most of which have fallen into deep obscurity. Of the rags, his "Snakey Blues" comes to mind as a creative and interesting rag. It was published by W.C. Handy, as was Livernash's "Lonesome Road Blues." Livernash ran a publishing business of sorts as well, publishing some important Ragtime.

I've never come across the waltz which you mentioned, nor "Kansas City Pep" (although the latter sounds like the kind of piece that might have been published as a small band score rather than piano solo...things like this can be more difficult to track down).

i didn't figure out his pseudonym, but if you read his name it's obvious. so Will Livernash piano solos publishing list is getting longer. Glad Cat Rag is a nice and Classic Rag like you say...
spontaneously Snakey Blues is found on Mississippi State University. i think Lonesome Road Blues is also a solo, did you even make a scan of it? i see Martin uploaded a pdf, it was arranged?

like i said his Valse is unfortunately only avaibable as incomplete version at Gonzaga but it's often sold by ebay. perhaps someone here would upload the piece.

Attached is his Kansas City Pep, you'll find it at University of Colorado, i think it was copyrighted 1910, but the scan was cut, so you can't see it.
