Thanks for catching this--the system doesn't recognize the ending ellipse in the link--you'll need to add it manually.tobyjj wrote:Hi Jim,

Brilliant work chaps. I think I will transpose it to C and then write it out in tab.
Great song for Chord Melody Style on plectrum banjo.

There's one by Art Tatum. I don't know if a transcription exists.

There are many jazz transcriptions for sale at this site, including several versions of Sophisticated Lady.
http://www.sheetmusic1.com/jazz.piano.html
They're a reputable dealer - I've purchased music from them in the past. They try to indicate the technical level of each collection, and some of the stuff labelled "advanced" is extremely challenging (Tatum transcriptions, etc).

J. Lawrence Cook, an incredibly important name in this genre and one of the most prodigious in terms of total output for recordings to piano roll (numbers via wiki are in the thousands.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Lawrence_Cook )
Here is a great concert jazz arrangement (I particularly love these 'classical' realizations of these tunes for the non-jazzers, it is a shame they no longer feel a need to provide us these types of stage work concert pieces for the genre).
*disclaimer, as with others, there is a single page rotation that I have no control over, it is an product of my image recognition software and my scanner automatically converts images to PDF and merges them all in one step. I do not have full adobe to correct the issue. If someone can help w the file and re-up, I would really appreciate it. PS I may have ripped vinyl->mp3 audio of Cook playing this from vintage recording, will reply to this w file if I am successful in getting the record in and with the tricky conversion to digital.
PPS Mod edit: rotation fixed and re-uploaded. FB

Thank you very much for this outstanding score.
It is basically a transcription of JL Cook's arrangement "recorded" on piano roll QRS Word Roll # 4926.

I was doing an Al Jolson impression at work today, but kept forgetting the words.
Might anyone have I'm Just Wild About Harry.
Great song with banjo possibilities.
