Dear Phillip,

Tank you so much for Ambroise Farman’s “Memory garden”, I just played it; a nice melody –that seems to leak honey-.

By the way, have you or some PP2 member discover some more scores or information about him?

Thank you JS, particularly for the Croze, which is very Alkan-like.
I'd love to see lots more of France's 'minor' composers scanned!

There's a ton of them among the scanned scores on Gallica. I think I saw the Croze 'En chemin de fer' there.

Many thanks 4candles for the Gallica reference. Very interesting!
I'd never explored it previously. This, I presume, is what you're referring to:-

No, you are in the book section. This is here:
http://gallica.bnf.fr/Search?ArianeWire ... geNumber=3
By the way, they do not appear to have En Chemin de Fer, which was taken from my scores.

Thank you JS for the clarification. Strangely, the scores tab was highlighted
when I copied and pasted that link, but I didn't actually investigate beyond
the covers of what I thought were Croze scores!

Eugene Ketterer (1831-1870).
French composer pianist who studied at the Paris conservatoire under Marmontel.
He wrote a lot of Salon pieces, and I am going to put some of them on here. Starting with:
Impromptu-Valse Opus 50.
