Charles Kinkel b.1832 doesn't often get a mention. As with the Strauss Cycloids Waltz,
this Cycloid Polka has a pleasing mathematical but otherwise totally inexplicable name,
unless it's something to do with the associated dance routine. Btw, when did he die?

IMSLP includes Julius Becht in the thread of Charles Kinkel, is it a pseudonym of Kinkel?

There are a few Kinkel pieces here. This site has about 2750 easy pieces by
various composers to explore all together, half of which are for the piano.
