I always feel guilty visiting if I don't leave something behind.

Welcome back from the sea.
I think you posted a recording of Zamecnik's Polly (or possibly a recording with several pieces including that) - I can not locate it on my computer... could you please remind me of the file name.
As ever, totally disorganised (me); and wondering why the good Lord could not have made time run a little slower!

Thanks Tobyjj.
Speaking of the piano roll scan of "Polly" that I had posted, it's still in the School of Syncopation section.
Anyway the name of the file is Milton Delcamp (roll) - Polly.mid
I hope this helps!

It seems this forum on Pianophilia has been neglected for a while...so I'll post a good rag.
Although that's quite a famous piece,
it's not been included in any online sheet music library I know and so I'll fill the gap.
Here's
David Guion's "Texas Fox Trot" attached!

For those who'd like to hear a truly good version of this rag, there's a video on youtube featuring
Muriel Pollock's great piano roll of this piece:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OqCkzLHKGw
This great hand-played piano roll, played by a talented ragtime composer and pianist, sounds quite in contrast with the typically depressing and anti-ragtime versions of this rag as generally played by most pianists today, even by the good ones who clearly didn't understand the piece.
Enjoy the original sheet music and the
true Texas Fox Trot on piano roll.

Dear Benjamin,
you're welcome!
Here's another rag from 1917 that I hope you'll like: "
Torpedo Rag" composed by
Oscar Young.
I think it's a great piece and beautifully scored!

Here's a fine and not so commonly available rag entitled "
A Rag-Time Drummer".
This has been recorded by
Ragtime Bob Darch and his Ragtime Band in his disc entitled "
Gold Rush Daze".
Enjoy the music.

Thank you Luigi!
It's amazing, to my ears, TORPEDO is really close to "Justin Tyme"
ahaha

You're right, Benjamin!
The similarity of the first strain in both rags is striking!
I guess that Bargy may have picked many of his musical ideas around, which is typical in ragtime and certainly very interesting and fascinating.
There was a black pianist in Detroit, Dewey Lee, who had a rag (never recorded as far as I know) entitled "Chocolate Spoon Rag" and it seems this piece had much in common with "Pianoflage".
