Re: Music from the British Isles
The Prelude in C comes from the Suite in C Z666, but I can't locate the source for the Prelude in G, which is from neither of the G major Suites Z660/662. Any suggestions?
Here's a recording, if it helps:

It’s Purcell’s Voluntary in G for organ, Z.720.
I can’t find it on imslp,
But it is in the 93 page book with Purcell’s keyboard music
On Walter Cosand’s site (p. 66 of the book).
Greetings,
Kroket

Re: Music from the British Isles
Does anyone have the two-piano score and (or) orchestra full score of York Bowen's Piano Concerto No.3 ‘Fantasia’?
Many thanks.

Unfortunately the work is not available for sale; it is still in manuscript and resides in the Royal Academy of Music collection, in London. Maybe drop them an email?Liubingbingpiano wrote: ↑Thu Sep 09, 2021 12:40 pm Does anyone have the two-piano score and (or) orchestra full score of York Bowen's Piano Concerto No.3 ‘Fantasia’?

Re: Music from the British Isles
If you search for "Bowen Driver" on this site, there's a discussion about unpublished Bowen works, plus a suggestion about contacting Josef Weinberger publishers to see if they have any new Bowen material. IIRC Danny Driver and Stephen Hough have both contributed.Liubingbingpiano wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 1:55 pmOK.Many thanks:)dmitterdorfer wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 12:53 amUnfortunately the work is not available for sale; it is still in manuscript and resides in the Royal Academy of Music collection, in London. Re: Music from the British Isles
I found a small amount of information about him. Conducted the Sutton-in-Ashfield Choral Society. Died 1950. There's a photo of him with his elder brother, both active Freemasons in their 90s.mballan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2010 8:38 pm A little rarity from Nottinghamshire......the music of the organist Arthur Howard Bonser [born 1855....unable to locate date of death].
Wrote several organ pieces, but here is his three popular fantasias for piano [thank you Mr P].

Fwiw, here's a link to some brief biographies of several musicians from Nottinghamshire, including Bonser.
