Hi All,
For interest, has anyone ever seen the alleged transcriptions by R. Denat
listed on Bach-Cantatas and Opus Transcribisticum ? (E.g. the violin concerti).
Extensive googling hasn't left me much wiser on where these might be....

Editions Christian Burnier of Geneva published Denat's piano solo
transcription of the Concerto for 2 Violins in D minor just after the war,
so a search of the Swiss libraries might be a good starting point, if
that's any help.

Has anyone found the version of Toccata and Fugue in d minor BWV 565 by Felix Mendelssohn?

It sounds quite a bit like some more famous versions by (I forget who?), but I really found this version beautiful.

I have transcriptions by Alkan, Friedman, Kempff, Siloti, and Zadora.

Reading elsewhere it seems that the Hughes is only very slightly different to the Alkan, and to my ear there's not much in it against the Kempff.

I was playing the Kempff version earlier this evening - I've just sight-read it for a while and decided to learn it properly. It occurred to me that the middle voice could be played with either hand. My right hand easily accommodates the treble voices but it doesn't leave the left hand with much to do. I'm wondering if any other player of this has a preference of their own.

My daughter plays piano and after she heard the piece, she felt in love with it and wants to play it. There are number of different interpretations, but I am looking for the one that Arcadi Volodos plays.
