...and what would you say to a nice little Caprice for the left hand on a Scottish theme from the Dutchman?Jean-Séb wrote:Nice little Tarentelle in the style of those by Heller and Lack. Thank you.
alfor you should see his Variations for big toe and heel, left foot on Marching through Georgia, Op.posth. foreshadowing the clusters of Henry Cowell. He tends to go round in circles which of course is to be expected with only one foot in action.alfor wrote:I assume this piece has been the true model for

He was an organist, then? We would love (and indeed expect) you to make a recording of this - PP hasn't had a decent Christmas present for a while.HullandHellandHalifax wrote:alfor you should see his Variations for big toe and heel, left foot on Marching through Georgia, Op.posth. foreshadowing the clusters of Henry Cowell. let me get Christmas out of the way first and see how many feet and toes I have left! I'm not sure if I only have the piano version but of course it can be transcribed. I didn't say though that in order to play the left foot version the player must have a very high stool indeed. I have played it on a BlackandDecker 7 foot grand it was much better than an Um-and-Ah especially in the ultrabass sections. Of course you could play it on your Australian Strewth-it to great advantage.fredbucket wrote:He was an organist, then?
