I'm quite interested to see scores of the Comedian Harmonists' arrangements. I see that there are several recent publications from Gustav Bosse, KDM etc. Before I purchase, I'm curious whether anyone has seen these publications to know how they were produced and which are more representative of the original arrangements. Also, were there any contemporary score publications of their most famous hits?

Yes, I know this is not a vocal music thread, but this is more active than that thread, so I thought the chances of getting a knowledgeable response here would be greater.

Hello All,

Sorry Alpha, I can't help with your enquiry - that series is unfamiliar to me.

Here is something different from TanzTee (but similar)
Beschwingte Tanzrhythmen - Band 1.pdf

Hello All,

What has happened to this forum? A quick review suggests that I am the sole survivor in recent weeks. Discussion, feedback, encouragement, discouragement, requests, opinions, comments etc. ... can all be posted - I have a slew of requests, but I think I might be in a parellel divide. I still have a number of things I could post - but I hesitate ---, although there is obviously still life out there, (judging only from the download figures), it is, (at the risk of repeating myself), still life.

Maybe I have caught Alfor's disease, or maybe I have a closer understanding of Alfor's frustrations at wondering whether the room, though apparently full, is really empty.

Apologies,

tobyjj

The room is not empty, Toby :)

Most threads go up and down - there is no need to worry. Also, the vast majority of PP users are the silent type - I'm sure everyone appreciates your (and everyone else's, including Alfor's) contributions and efforts to keep this music alive.

The previous version of PP was much more a clearing house for scans already in circulation. This incarnation focusses on new scans, new composers and music (as Rob so eloquently puts it in the Welcome section) to rescue 'old' composers from oblivion. Without you, and people like you, PP would be dead,,,

Keep going.

Regards
Fred
