Timtin - those indexes look interesting - when I have time to go through them more carefully, (short though they are, I am a bit busy at the moment), I may well ask if you could scan some.) I have a liking for Fox-trots!

OK, I have a few more, but I'm beginning to run out (unless I start extracting from folios / albums / collections etc) - Now is the time for anyone who can supplement to start looking through their own collections.
This lady had an incredibly prolific output and what I have been able to post represents merely a miniscule percentile of her contribution to this genre.

In the late 1930s, the phenomenal jazz pianist Art Tatum published four piano solos with the British Peter Maurice Publishing Co. under their Famoustyle line of syncopated piano solos. Named after gemstones, the titles were: Turquoise, Jade, Amethyst, and Sapphire. The latter is attached to this message and I believe Turquoise is available elsewhere on this thread. Does anyone have scans of Amethyst (a paraphrase of his hot stride tune "The Shout") or Jade that they'd be willing to share? I would greatly appreciate it.
In the meantime, enjoy Sapphire - the scoring is fan-tas-tic!

William F. Wirges - also known as "Eskimo Bill" during his stint with Harry Reser's famed Clicquot Club Eskimos - composed and "self-published" a number of weather themed piano novelties in the late 1920s. I use the quotation marks around self-published because distribution (and likely most of the process) was handled by Robbins Music, a powerhouse publisher of piano novelties. Anyhow, these are particularly delightful pieces and I hope you enjoy them. Raindrops has always been my favorite of the set and I've attached sequenced MIDIs of both that one and Snowflakes.

Firstly, thanks for all the files you've posted in this thread!
Secondly, in answer to your question about what was in the rest of the book,
it's best answered by the file below.
At some time in the 1920's in England, a weekly publication called Music For All
appeared, containing information about popular music of the time, plus some
actual music scores.
These scores were later bound into 4 volumes, of which I have Vols.1 and 4.
The indexes of these two volumes are given in this uncleaned file.
If anything is of interest, please indicate.
I decided not to scan the entire books a) because they are something of a
hotch-potch musically, and b) because of the time it would have taken,
especially the cleaning, which seems to take forever.
You're quite welcome Timtin! Thanks SO MUCH for the index!! When you write "cleaning," do you mean removing little dark spots that shouldn't be there or something else? (Actually, the uncleaned index looks quite nice--very readable!) Perhaps it wouldn't always be necessary to "clean" (though it's been very kind of you to do so). That first title that "grabs" me in your index is "Raggin' thro' the Rye." I'd enjoy seeing that posted (whenever you get the chance). BTW, I just finished posting 5 rags on the "Rags Thread" so check them out!
