A sigh from Maestro Franz Liszt*, edited by Mr. Freudmann.
*No, he was not a sigh-entologist!
(The pedal indication at the beginning means half-pedal!)

Un Suspiro!
In a Alfor hires scan of a great hi-quality Friedman edition!
I only play a few Liszt etudes and this is one of them, and now I have some more fine details to extract from this wonderful edition.
Wonderful post, Alfred!

Best,

Not only „fabric infos“ from you, that would be great!
The piece is not included in the recent „Alexander Siloti collection“!
Siloti version/edited Liszt - Les Jeux D`eaux A La Villa D`este (Liszt, Franz, and Alexander Siloti. Les jeux d'eaux à la villa d'Este. New York: Carl Fischer, 1924.).

A big welcome for "Les jeaux d'eaux a la villa d'Este" by Liszt and most importantly, edited by Siloti. This piece is not in the famous (well, it should be famous!) collection of Siloti transcriptions/editions published by Fischer. I find it a bit difficult to navigate since Liszt's original and Siloti's version are intermixed. It is quite the concert transcription and not a piece I've ever played before. Siloti's transcriptions rank among the very best every done, IMHO.
Last year Alfor managed to locate the lamentably out of print biography of Siloti, "Lost in the Stars" by Charles Barber and is recommended reading as it seems he knew all the famous musician of his time.
Thank you for this delightful find, Scriabinoff.
