I'm sure Bach you all know...and Fritz Malata (1882-1949) just his dates was all I could find on him.
His arrangement of the beautiful Passacaglia in C minor [thank you Mr P].

Does anyone have this beautiful transcription of a Bach Sarabande by George Fryer?

Thanks for drawing my attention to Jonathan Plowright's performance on Youtube. I've admired his Bach-Rummel recordings for a long time. It would be great to see more of Fryer's transcriptions here.
Cheers,
P.

Hi there,
I've found a volume of Fryer Bach transcriptions at the British Library, but I'm loath to have it copied and sent to me. Last time I tried ordering anything from the British Library, I became appalled at the incompetence of the people I dealt with online. You'd think it would be easy to pay a few pounds and have items scanned, but I was met with a brickwall of incompetence. Has anyone else had similar problems?

More than incompetence, in the case of BL, I'd speak about expensiveness

Hmm, my favourite subject.
I could tell you some stories that would reduce a grown man to tears (or laughter).
