While Chopin is public domain, these editions are surely not.
Pianophilia makes a big deal regarding copyright issues. So posting these excellent editions (main editor is Jan Ekier) is unfairly against the publisher (PWM), because they not only belong to the best recent Chopin URTEXT editions but are still available through dozens of sheet music dealers worldwide!!!

You can download for free the Performance and Source Commentaries of each volume!

Hi Alfor

I do not see any copyright mark (this C with a circle) within all 3 scores at the bottom of any page or somewhere else
(as normally done by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzycne (PWM) within their scores)-

If it would be a score of an living composer I could understand a copyright issue here,
but these are Chopin Urtext works and obviously no copyright signs,
I would never even image that these scores are copyright protected ....

Alfor, you may or may not remember that Malcolm has instructed all members to pm him personally over such questions as copyright matters as they arise. Please desist from policing the site and posting potentially offensive messages.
This is for all members, any questions or problems should be directed to the management and not plastered all over the site.

P.S. For those who still (occasionally) buy paper sheet music:

Music publishers are not stupid. Every copyright infringement will result in higher prices for new sheet music.
I am glad that there are still many German, Austrian, British, American, Polish, Russian, a.o. publishers who sell sheet music at very reasonable prices and I hope they will continue to do so (but I will never know why most French publishers have such extremely high prices).
