I had to look it up, because I certainly didn't remember that line (I assuredly would have!) - anyway, wrong play dear Brian - it's the second line of Ben Johnson's 'The Alchemist'. Does sound like Thal! Perhaps Thal knew Ben Johnson in a former life?

At Grove one was taught that since the opus number was not part of the title of the piece, it should be lower case. So, in my -- and many others' -- view, Caprotti is right. IMSLP are incorrect, and very rude too!

Did anyone understand the Czibulka Adolfi name? I, too, was puzzled by that.

Thanks for clarification Rob, I last read the plays of Jonson some 40 years ago and had to rely on my shaky memory. But definitely agree that Thal is most definitely a character that would have been most at home in that period. Thal we love you!

Agree - IMSLP renamed my van Dieren scans quite unnecessarily and inappropriately destroying some of the information contained in the filenames! They then blocked them even though they are public domain in Canada and in Europe - but apparently not in the US.
