Does anyone know about this or am I just out of touch?
The Werner Icking Music Archive, an archive dedicated to providing thousands upon
thousands of free PDF files for musicians, has suddenly, and without
notice lost its server. If anyone has any ideas about providing space
for this extremely valuable ...corner of the internet, please send an email
message to Christian Mondrop, the Archive's editor at reccmo@daimi.au.dk
Please pass this message to any university department
(music or otherwise) that might enjoy the prestige of hosting such an
archive. Space is really all that would be needed since Christian
Mondrop can do all of the administration remotely from Denmark. It would
be best to keep this archive free and to keep it in the education arm
of the internet.
For the time being WIMA takes up 16G disk
space. The January Webalizer visit statistics came out to 2,165,121
total hits, and 1,628,099 total files.
