Hello everyone!
I've been sifting through all the Novelty Piano publications that have been shared in this thread so far. Even though there are hundreds, there are still scores missing that I'm sure would be highly sought after by many, myself included. I have therefore decided to compile a list (a long one, indeed!) so that we can all get ourselves organising to recover these scores for the benefit of the community and the preservation of this invaluable musical heritage. For the moment, I have focused on the 1920s. I have no doubt that, however long the list may be, I may have omitted a couple of scores. What saddens me is that these pieces should all be in the public domain, yet they have never been digitised

I found Trytica really fabulous, but it seems to lack a recording and information about the composer.

I could find only one recording by the composer, which doesn't include this piece. Some of his songs appear on other band recordings.
The album notes say that he's Swiss-Belgian and provide a photo
https://www.discogs.com/release/1719029 ... mpositions
"From Swiss descent, this Belgian composer pianist is known for a long time for concerts on the radio and abroad, in concert with two pianos, in a rhythmic trio and as an inter-performing pianist in his own works.

The names of these works are regularly chosen by the Chefs of renowned orchestras as well as by Belgian and foreign soloists.

Two compositions appearing on the present album Capriccio et Pluie d'or just released, the première cédée aux U.S. A. et la seconde, recorded by the grand orchestras of La Suisse Romande.

In these compositions, Sylvain Hamy is shown as romantic in his own right, which is suitable for his temper, without excluding all the virtuosity and brilliance required for his works.

There is a lot of music behind it, which is the composer of a habanera, which was recorded by two bands and their orchestras. Another work Griseria was noted by Edith Lorand and was also recorded in the film.

The style of this pianist-composer clearly reflects the style of other artists and the fact of his same interpreter is sufficient to immediately recognize his personality.

Sylvain Hamy selected for the recording of this microsillon [microgroove long-playing (LP)] some of his most representative compositions and the most characteristic features of his talent."
