Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Tony, have you looked at our Opus Transcribisticum at the bottom of the welcome to Pianophilia page, it is pretty exhaustive and if nothing is listed there then you can be sure nobody has arranged what you are looking for. I have looked and found nothing for two hands though it appears your Op.102 has been arranged for four hands.
good luck
Brian

If you mean Debussy's Beau-Soir, there's one by Vincenzo Maltempo here: https://muse-press.com/en/product/mp00610de/
The volume comprises:
”Beau Soir” – Composed by Claude Debussy
”Die Nacht” – Composed by Richard Strauss
”Verlor’ne Müh’” (from Des Knaben Wunderhorn) – Composed by Gustav Mahler

I've been having some fun with these Kursanov arrangements, but have not been able to properly identify the Burton Lane track labelled "Cowboy's Song".Aggelos wrote: ↑Thu May 29, 2014 2:55 pm Popular American and European melodies, arranged for piano by Sergei Kursanov
Kudos to Alexandr for these pdfs

<snip>
Vol 3
1. Riccardo Cocciante "Belle" from the musical "Notre Dame de Paris"
2. Burton Lane: "Cowboy's Song"
3. Ernest Gold "Exodus"
4. L. Louiguy "La Vie en Rose" [Piaf]
5. Gypsy "Black eyes" [Florian Hermann]

The closest thematically relevant music I can identify from the Burton Lane songbook is the musical Hold on to Your Hats (1940) which has songs like “Way Out West Where the East Begins" and "Down on the Dude Ranch".

I couldn't find any performances on Spotify or YouTube. Perhaps someone here can identify it?

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Hi. Does anyone know if there is a solo 2h version of the Mendelssohn violin concerto first movement? I was able to find 2h version of the second and third movement by different arrangers but was wondering if someone has arranged the first Mvt. If you know a 2h version of the complete concerto, that would be highly appreciated, too. Thanks.

Yes, I think Sydney Smith’s version is abridged. Does anyone know the full solo version of the concerto or at least the full version of the first movement?

brahms - mombeek transcriptions
This I found on a facebook group. Nice transcriptions but difficult to play.
It seems free for distribution so please please if this is not the case, let me know so I can remove them.
Does any one have other brahms or schumann piano transcriptions?
Mid edit: I have deleted the score. FB

ah, oh... well... I heard richard strauss was a not so friendly man, but we still play and share his music, so... what do I care... I listened yesterday those transcriptions on his youtube channel, in my opinion very good transcriptions...

The site is described in the links Remy posted. I have found scores I have set myself or otherwise cleaned up from library sources. I've noticed he tries to make this less obvious to people browsing his site, but I recognise pages from watermarks and other clues I've started inserting in scores.margarethaverhard wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 2:12 pm
