Re: Music from the British Isles
These 4 attractive dances were hand-written very neatly.
For a reason which will become apparent upon opening the
file, the choice of appropriate thread was a bit tricky.
Btw, they weren't written by Michael's sister!

Thanks for posting and the discovery of Wallis visions
Very nice and well written
The evening sketches, declining day and lyric fancies seem to be available at the Brigham University

Re: Music from the British Isles
Thank you HTIEKFR for the link.
This is a cleaner scan of Byng's Sérénade Lointaine than the one on IMSLP.
Our fellow Pianophilian PS recently uploaded a video of it to YouTube.

Thanks.

Thanks very much Tim for the clean scan of the charming Byng Sérénade and for the link to Phillip's video.

Re: Music from the British Isles
To be honest Jeremy, I made the file before realising
that the work was already on IMSLP.
These 6 dances are quite attractive, although the last
time I passed through Kendal it was still in Cumbria!

The only way to have it is to go to the university I believe, so unless one of the members lives there..

Re: Music from the British Isles
Here's another work of the type that sits in my 'not worth scanning'
pile, but which may actually be in the wrong pile!
