When I saved and then tried to open this file, I got an error message. Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!

After reading your mail I opened the uploaded scan (without previous downloading, that would have been senseles for me) directly on the screen - there wasn't any problem. Good luck in trying again.

The problem has to do with the Adobe Acrobat/Reader & is the following : Händel. Change the ä to a on the file name and it should open.

Everyone interested will already have at least one transcription of this piece - but perhaps not by Charles-René on whom only the German Wikipedia gives a few details:

According to OT he transcribed all Beethoven symphonies for 2 and 4 hands. I had only a pdf of the 4th (2H) and recently found this one, but would be interested in the others as well, especially the duet versions.

Thank you Paolor for sharing this Rene - one of at least 4 different
arrangers of all 9 Beethoven symphonies. Often these arrangements
are so similar that I have a sneaking suspicion that once the first
arrangements were made, those that followed may have been based
on those first ones rather than on the original orchestral scores.

Found this score this w-e and I'm not sure it belongs to this post but as it's a transcription I'd rather put it here than open a new post.
Hope it's OK.
Don't know if it's a rarety or not, it has been published in the newspaper l'Illustration in 1903.
Makes me think about "harmonies poetiques and religieuses" LISZT
