Here's a B&W version of the Luening. I'll put a B&W of the Pisk in the Austrian Composers section.Scriabinoff wrote:Here is one of those issues I mentioned I did not know where to put it as it contains an American and Austrian composer. Hopefully if Jim Faston or another member is/can help(ing) us and a cleaned compressed and separated version can be created from this one, the other gentleman can be in his proper home. Composer biographies are contained in the issue at the conclusion of each set of works.

B&W of the Stocker attached here. There's already a copy of the Caturla Comparsa in the Composers from the Caribbean section, but I'll put the B&W version I generated from Scribinoff's scan there as well. I've created a Composers from the Caribbean section in the Vocal Music forum and deposited a B&W of Caturla's Yambambo there.Scriabinoff wrote:another 'mixed bag'

Clara Stocker - Two Little Pieces

I saw the Caturla Comparsa posted but also noticed there was a post stating a page was missing(?), I did not double check if it was 'fixed', if so, then I placed this in the right spot as I mainly posted here for the Stocker piano pieces. If the Comparsa is incomplete, hopefully we can migrate that one over to the right board later.

I know I said it earlier, but really your help has been so wonderful. I hope to learn how to create such beautiful PDF files and do that type of clean up and file compressing someday when I buy the software.Jim Faston wrote:B&W of the Stocker attached here. For most common applications would a standard Adobe Acrobat be enough or does one need some type of photo editing software too?
I am almost done labeling the rest of the quarterlies I have. I hope to get them up by the end of the week (my KIC scanner just autolabels them all as KIC then the date and folder number I generated that scaning session so I am having to go in and re organize and rename each file, shouldn't take too much longer everyone).

New Music July 1938
James Cleghorn – How Do You Like This? Three Ironies for Piano
Lou Harrison – Saraband (and) Prelude (this is how New Music ordered them, LH apparently meant for it to be "Prelude & Saraband")
"
"Henry Cowell's New Music Edition sustained several generations of modern composers in the United States and abroad by presenting (in finely printed versions and on a quarterly basis) the newest and most interesting music that Cowell could find at the time. It was a great honor that he published my Prelude and Sarabande in 1937. The references in the Sarabande to 'fierce Iberian style' are suitable to the form, at least in its beginnings, and the clear inspiration of J. S. Bach's Chromatic Prelude and Fugue is evident in the Prelude." ~ LH"

B&W versions of the scores. "For Grandpiano" in the title of the Harrison Prelude is in reference to the fact that strings at times are to be stroked/plucked--a grand piano is required.

Two Piano Sonatas
("Apologies for the slight off center orientation of the first score page. Someone in the past had folded this page of the score in this manner, probably in an attempt to get it to lay flat for reading and in their haste perhaps did not do the best job of it. It is a fragile score and staring to come undone/break at the fold, I could not bring myself to further damage the original for only a modest improvement in page orientation.-Scriabinoff)
