Re: Alfor's Rarities
I think a programme of Ogurkowski and Kapustin would be ideal for the Viennese Vegetable Orchestra.
Maybe we can find some Buraczewski, Cebulin, Marchewski ...

funny indeed - google translator tends to become an important tool for meisokani wrote:I think a programme of Ogurkowski and Kapustin would be ideal for the Viennese Vegetable Orchestra.

As a musician* I answer with the following line (which every long-serving pianophilian should know!):
...Kraut** und Rüben*** haben mich vertrieben...
**kapusta ***burak
*personally I am vegetarian though

Re: Alfor's Rarities
P.S. I find the short SZELUTO Mazurek a piece of a most idiosyncratic individuality
(with its mixture of unusual and familiar sounds somewhat reminiscent of Gruodis)
and I will try to get more scores by this composer.
His violin sonata op.73:

Re: Alfor's Rarities
I had read reports of Szeluto's music as even incompetent, and of little interest (but this was in comparison what that of Karlowicz and Szymanowski -- he was a fellow member of Mlada Polska), so I was very pleasantly surprised by this piece. More would be good, of course, and many thanks for this.

Yes, but the players must eat their instruments after the performance.isokani wrote:I think a programme of Ogurkowski and Kapustin would be ideal for the Viennese Vegetable Orchestra.
