Hubert Giesen (1898-1980), was a well-known accompanist. As reported in his memoirs, with this paraphrase he wanted to show that he was able to write "à la Godowsky". Giesen had a quite unusual hobby (at least for pianists): he was an enthusiastic woodworker!
Nice scan old chap.

Oh for the want of a comfortable 10th.

Unfortunately, I have had to removed the Stevenson score as composer still alive and score is in copyright.

However, Alfor did kindly include a link to the Ronald Stevenson website [below] where copies of the scores may be purchased.

The MFEP:

Nikolai MEDTNER
Sonata Romantica op. 53 No. 1
Medtner Sonata Romantica op.53,1.pdf
(From original first edition in Quart Format = 34,5 x 26,5 centimeters!)

While all other mvts. go at a moderate pace, the Scherzo should
be played with considerable speed in order not to sound dull -
not that I learned it from imprimatur, but it is also my own opinion ;) .

Just two summer trifles:

Ignaz REIDINGER (Austrian composer, 18??-19??)
Notturno op. 15
Reidinger Notturno op.15.pdf
Rudolf WILLMERS
Introduction et Barcarole variée op. 17 Cah. 3
Willmers Intro & Barcarole op.17,3.pdf
Looking for Willmers transcription of the wedding march from Mendelssohn.

[Looking for Willmers transcription of the wedding march from Mendelssohn]

Same query, it seems that the piece has completely disappeared ...
