Dear Alfred,
Thank you so much for the Hugo Reinhold Characterskizzen, and for dedicating the posting to me!

Yes indeed I love all forms of "Hausmusik", but this set of lovely pieces is certainly at the far extreme of quality piano writing re. other examples of "Hausmusik" which I've seen (thanks again to yourself)! Hugo Reinhold is such a wonderful composer, and again one who has been virtually ignored for the last 100 years, with the exception of a lone Impromptu that Schirmer has kept in their library. His works seem to be extremely scarce, but they're of the highest calibre! This is such a shame, yet such a typical situation with fine piano music. Certainly Reinhold is a composer that I would like to research extensively (probably at the SBB), because his vast span of opus numbers indicates a large (and untapped) resource of beautiful (and eminently playable) piano literature.
Once again I'm completely indebted to you for steering us in the direction of the finest literature; not only the Reinhold but the exceptional (rather difficult!) Isserlis and the glorious Bach transriptions. Your tenacity and incredible musical savvy has brought us more treasures than I can count, with an eye towards pianistic quality along with rarity. These accomplishments are monumental in my book!!
Alles Gute,
dein Franz
