Re: Alfor's Rarities
I second any and all thanks for additional Blanchet scores. Here is a truly original composer and one who deserves much more widespread acclaim.

You may have known how a Chlochard looks like, you may have known how a Chloard smells like, - now you will know how a Chlochard sounds like!
Posted as an example of the piano style of this little known French composer:
Pierre PETIT (a.k.a. Peter Little)
Bois de Bologne
Cinq pieces pour piano:
La Caleche, Le Chlochard, Bagatelle, Le Banc, L'Allee cavaliere Max LAURISCHKUS (German composer, 1876-1929, pupil of Succo, Bargiel, Herzogenberg; best known as an arranger)
Skizzen für Pianoforte op. 17 (nice genre pieces - no trace of false sentiment) Paul de SCHLÖZER (obscure Polish/Russian pianist. I found no evidence for the assumption that he is a pseudonym of Moszkowski)
Etude de Concert op. 1,1 (double-note study) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Pzzrpg-IA

Re: Alfor's Rarities
Thanks for these new unknown composers, Alfor. Having just played "Le Chlochard" is certainly does bring to mind the image of "Freddy the Feeloader (if you're of a certain age & from North America). And what a wonderful performance of the SCHLÖZER etude by Josef Levhinne--it is easy to see what attracted the great pianist to this particular one in a fairly crowded field of similar etudes on 6ths.
I noticed that IMSLP has the companion etude to this, Op.1 Nr.2 which is a good workout for both hands and a nice performance of it is on YouTube.

Re: Alfor's Rarities
The de Schlözer piece reminds me of Henselt, and particularly of his most famous etude "Si oiseaux j'étais..." Thanks as ever for posting all these rarities!
