I improved some things and finished the first Sonatina. This time I have attached a recording by Sibelius since my piano skills aren't good enough to play my own works haha

Hello everyone,
it's been a long time since I visited this amazing place!
I hope everybody is well and enjoying your time at the Piano.
I wanted to share with you some of my original pieces.
I am piano teacher and pianist but I like composing for other instruments too.
This is something I wrote for two Bassoons and Piano.
The Bassoon is very inspiring instrument for me and in this combination I think it turned out nicely.
(If this is not the right place to post in forum I will move post).

Thank you!

Robin Schreiber: Six Bagatelles, Op. 18
Volume I: No.1 - 3
  • No.1 in E major
  • No.2 in B-flat minor
  • No.3 in C-flat major

Schreiber R - 6 Bagatelles Vol. I.pdf

Still working on part 2. So far I only did the 4th Bagatelle in F minor! Please enjoy!

P.S. Yes I used C-flat major instead of B major because I felt like it was more fun composing in a key that consists of 7 accidentals. It was!

Best regards
Robin

Hello Robin,
Have you recorded them ?

Unfortunately not... This goes beyond my abilities at the piano. All I can do is trying to make some digital recordings (or actually practicing them, but that would take an eternity...) with Garage Band or something that has a better soundfont than the basic MIDI, Sibelius Sounds or Garage Band.

I believe that Ravel had the same problem for performing his own music. Maybe Gamma who is an exceptionnel sight-reader, would like to play this music for us.

That' true. Gamma is a master in sight-reading! But I could never ask him to play something by me, because I don't want to be like wanting a piece of his cake and I do not want to waste his limited time with this.
