Remember I was asking about Wurmser some time ago? I have just recorded his 12 Preludes - which I believe to be the first recording.
I only know of only one recording of Wurmser's work by Germaine Arnaud in a 1932 recording. His scores are still in print, and he was pretty well known as a pianist in his days. Why aren't there any recordings of his music at all?

The music sounds very nice too! Well played to boot! Do you live in Wales, where it was recorded?naturlaut wrote:Remember I was asking about Wurmser some time ago? I have just recorded his 12 Preludes - which I believe to be the first recording.

I'm not normally a fan of Fazioli pianos, but the recorded sound of the instrument here was pleasantly surprising to me.

Re: Lucien Wurmser
Oh yes, I love Fazioli pianos. It's the first time I am recording on one though.
I am still unable to compile a work list for Wurmser. No idea exactly how much music he wrote...
