Bulgarian Music Recordings

Post by mballan »

As promised the first of the Vladigerov piano concertos. All these are taken from old Balkanton LPs so appreciate these are fairly old recordings although the sound quality is actually quite good.

Piano Concerto No. 1 in A minor Op 6. Teodor Moussev with the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Vladigerov.

These are big works so be prepared as recording will take a while to download. I'll post No. 4 in a couple of days.

I dont know if anyone here hears the recordings with the score along.
I noticed this performance of Vladigerov concerto no.1 is a "cut" version.
Just an example, the first movement. Pages 38 to 48 (pdf paging) are completely cut out.
Oh , as well as the Lyudkevich 3rd movement.

Do you happen to have that Bulgarian recording of Vladigerov's Violin Concerto No.1?

Malcolm,
Would you happen to have a recording of vladigerov's 3rd concerto or 5th concerto, played by the composer himself with svetlanov under the baton?

Tony

I have versions of the 3rd & 5th concertos but not those performed by Vladigerov himself.

Talking of which - as promised, and sorry for the delay - a recording of the 2nd piano concerto by Vladiergov [No. 5 still to come].

Pianist - Krassinir Gatev with the Bulgarina National Radio Symphony Orchetsra conducted by Alexander Vladigerov.
