There are several Bach works here, along with various other arrangements:-

Thank you so much for the two Denat arrangements, kroket, they're godsends!! Any chance you may have the others he arranged for piano solo (BWV 1054, 1055 & 1058)?

Cheers

You're welcome, Witzelsucht. Unfortunately I don't have the other transcriptions by Denat.

BWV1054 is a keyboard transcription (by Bach) in D of his Violin concerto BWV 1042 in E.
BWV1058 is a keyboard transcription (by Bach) in g of his Violin concerto BWV 1041 in a.

These 2 violin concertos were recently transcribed for piano solo by Santino Cara.
These are in his book "Six Bach's orchestral concertos", available for example on Amazon.de.

Lots of Cara's transcriptions can also be bought as download on Musicaneo.com.
(By the way, he also has a book with all the Mozart String quartets for piano solo).

There is also a piano solo transcription of the violin concerto in a minor on IMSLP, by Ruishi Sun.
Of the violin concerto in E major only the adagio is on IMSLP (as piano solo), transcribed by Kees Schoonenbeek.

But if you specifically are looking for the Denat transcriptions, the mentioned information is useless…
I hope someone else has them, the Schanz book on Bach transcriptions gives Denat lots of credits.

Greetings, kroket

I am indeed looking for the Denat transcriptions, but I must thank you for the information on those Cara transcriptions (all of Mozart's string quartets among them!), I'll be sure to check those out.
Cheers once more, man! 8-)

The other three are held at libraries in Switzerland - probably of help.

I was interested to learn of the Santino Cara transcriptions of all
of Mozart's String Quartets.
But the question I have is this. are they 'proper' transcriptions,
i.e. faithful to the original music, but adapted for comfortable
playing on the piano?
There's a big difference between that and merely transferring the
four voices from four staves to two staves using computer software,
which can result in something virtually unplayable with 2 hands.

Jim, thanks for the Bach file. To be honest, this isn't too bad
when it comes to playability. However, there are some issues,
for example:-

Bar 6, the RH G# semi-quaver coming half a beat after the G#
crotchet. How do you play that, when the key is already depressed?

Bar 80, the LH hand crotchet almost 2 octaves below the two
quavers above it. How do you play them, when the RH thumb
isn't available to help out?
