Thanks so much for the Grovlez! Until now I've only come across l'Almanach aux Images, probably his most famous work, but I'd love to hear more by him.

Here's another piece by Tournemire - his Op. 33 (Poeme Mystique). Enjoy, this is a beautiful piece in my opinion!

A mazurka by a French pianist who was acclaimed when he accompanied teh famous violonist Ysaye in one of his tours in the United States (1894).

Camille Stamaty is best remembered as the piano teacher of Gottschalk and Saint-Saëns.

He is known in Japan where the PTNA makes available a lot of rarely heard music, in particular Stamaty sonata op.8.

The interpretation is unfortunately not first class but it gives at least an idea of the music.
I do not have the music of the sonata: maybe one of you has it and would be willing to share it. I attach two old scans of mine of a set of etudes of Stamaty and a fresh scan of a little salon piece, les Farfadets ("Elves").

Thanks for drawing our attention to Stamaty, Jean-Séb. I have often wondered what his piano concerto might be like - I'm not aware of any recordings. I guess there's a chance that Thal might have the score in his vast collection; if so, it would be great if he could share it!

Regretfully the CPS does not have this particular concerto, although it is on our list of potential future acquisitions.

Sorry cannot assist.
