All members should follow this topic about the (uncertain) future of Pianophilia.
Problems with logging in ... - Posted by janterje at 12:37 AM
It was impossible to log in for about 5-6 hours today, as every press of a button redirected everyone to the paypal web site.
The reason for this was the admin's failed attempt to add a Donation button to the top menu, and not phishing or any other outsite attempt to trick Pianophilia's members.
Everything is back to normal, though I may try to find another, safer way to add a Donation button somewhere. ![]()

New portal and forum - Posted by janterje at 05:01 PM
This is Pianophilia's new look, and is a massive improvement in usability and stability. In general use, old members will find that much if not most is the same. There are a few differences I will point out:
* You can integrate video from youtube in posts (as shown below)
* You can integrate mp3s to be played directly from the post, as long as the mp3 is available through a http-address.
* Rules which you'll find to be more specific, and always accessible from the top menu.
* Only registered members are able to see and download attachments.
* The possibility to add more functions like a wiki, blogs etc IF the community (you) are interested.
* Even though you have an account on the old forum, you will have to register again.
Video example, syntax is . If you happen not to know who's playing what here, just click on the video and it will take you to youtubes pages with the information.
Mp3 example, syntax is {mp3 url=http-something} (but replace the {} with []. The example is Hamish Milne playing Kabalevsky's transcription of Bach's Dorian Toccata and Fugue.
I hope everyone will enjoy the changes!
